Do you have limits on where you can fly?
We can fly in most places, but generally cannot operate near to airports or in restricted airspace. It is however possible to obtain permission to operate in controlled airspace, if done so in advance and applied for correctly. With our experience in the world of manned aviation, we are well placed to do this if required.
What Qualifications do you hold?
In addition to over a decade of experience in the commercial drone sector, Creative Skies holds the Civil Aviation Authority issued A2 CofC (Certificate of Competency).
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We hold Public Liability Insurance compliant with regulation EC 785/2004 that governs commercial drone activity. Please contact us for further information on level of cover, which can be tailored to your needs.
How high can you fly?
Drones are limited by law to 400ft (120m) above ground. The drone must remain in sight at all times.
What about the weather?
Flying drones is a weather dependent activity and we cannot operate in windy or wet weather, or if the visibility is bad. Forward planning to identify the best weather opportunities is a key part of our preparation for every job. It is advisable to have a contigency date, if possible.
Can you fly indoors?
Yes, although small spaces are more challenging and will require precise planning and coordination. Large buildings such as warehouses are no problem.
Can you fly at night?
Yes. If there is a specific reason to do so, we can operate at night. Additional planning during daylight will be required, but it’s certainly possible.
